Attendance

The term’s ‘working days’ means that the days on which the lectures are delivered. As per the University Ordinances No. 6086, a student is considered to have kept term: Every bonafide learner shall ordinarily be allowed to keep terms for the given semester in a program of his/ her enrollment only if he/she fulfill at least 75% of the attendance taken as an average of the total numbers of lectures, practical’s, tutorials etc. conducted by the college

Examinations

Standard for passing the B.L.S; L.L.B. Examination

  • To pass the examination the candidates must obtain 45% marks in each theory paper/s and Practical/s separately. Those candidates who obtain less than 60% marks at the same sitting will be placed in Second Class. Those of the successful candidates who obtain 60% marks and more than 60% marks in all paper/s at one and the same sitting will be placed in the first class.
  • If a candidate is allowed to join the next higher class as provided in the Ordinances relating to the different examinations, he will not be permitted to appear for the higher examinations unless (i)he has previously passed in the remaining subject/s of the lower examination, or(ii) he appears in that subject/s simultaneously with his appearance at the higher examination. In the latter case, however, he will, in no circumstances be considered to have passed in the higher examination, or any part of it, unless he passes in the aforesaid subjects (with the percentage, if any, required for the total)at the same time or within two years of his obtaining the marks necessary to pass in the higher examination or any part of it in which separate passing or exemption is permitted by the Regulation.
  • When a candidate owing to his failure to pass in the remaining subject/s of the lower examination within two years is not considered to have passed the higher examination or any part of it, he will forfeit all benefits occurring from the marks obtained by him in the higher examination, but the terms kept by him for such higher examination will be available to him for any further appearance at the examination.
  • No candidate will be admitted to, and allowed to appear at, the year end semester examinations unless he/she has successfully passed the Examination in the Practical Training papers for the respective college affiliated to the University of Mumbai, on behalf of the University.
  • From the academic year 2019-2020, 60: 40 evaluation pattern has been introduced as per Mumbai University directions.

General Rules & Regulations

  • Every student should obtain a laminated identity card on admission; a student shall always carry the identity card with him/her and present its on demand. No student will be allows to enter the college premises without the identity card.
  • The students shall attend lectures, tutorial and seminars according to the time table on all the working days. They will not abstain themselves from lectures, tutorial, seminars and examinations without prior permission of the principal. Absence without prior leave may result in loss of terms, since to keep a term a student’s has to complete to the satisfaction of the principal the course of the study prescribed.
  • In case of illness, a student shall apply for leave as soon as possible with a doctor’s certificate attached to the application and submit it to the principal.
  • The students should not loiter in the corridor outside the classroom when the classes are engaged and cause nuisance and disturbance to others.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college premises and outside. The students indulging in ragging other students will be punished as per The Maharashtra prohibition of ragging act 1999 (Mah.XXXIII of 1999) published in Maharashtra Govt. Gazette on 15th May 1999’. Such students will also be expelled from the colleges and F.I.R. will be lodged with the police against them.
  • The students found guilty of ragging earlier will not be admitted to this college.

Punitive Measures

  • Warning.
  • Cancellation of Admission.
  • Refusal to grant admission in future.
  • Withholding or withdrawing of University exam form.
  • Expulsion / resticate from college.
  • Fine.
  • Non-refund of fees and deposits.
  • Suspension for a specified period.
