Anti-Ragging Committee
Ragging is STRICTLY prohibited under the Indian Laws. Anyone found guilty of committing any acts of ragging and /or indulging and / or
attempting to indulge in any of its forms will be liable to be punished under Indian Penal Code, 1860, The Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act,1999
and the UGC Regulation on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009.
Ragging in any of the following forms –
- Physical Abuse for eg. causing physical harm to the student or making someone cause physical harm to the student, forcing the student to perform dangerous life- threatening activities, forcing students to undress themselves or dress themselves in an inappropriate manner, drawing graffiti and making false representation, etc.
- Verbal Abuse for eg. name- shaming the student, using derogatory language against themselves or forcing them to use it against someone with reference to religion, caste, sex, lifestyle and appearance of the person, making indirect or direct reference towards the sexuality of the student etc.
- Emotional or psychological Abuse for eg, exercise of any undue control, manipulating the student in doing of certain activities directly or indirectly in view of their “supposedly” vested interest, causing fear psychosis in the minds of the student, etc.
- Sexual Abuse for eg., causing the student to indulge into sexual activity, forcing the student to pass racial and sexual comments upon gender of the other students, drawing graffiti and making false representation, etc
- Digital Abuse for eg threating the student on online platforms, morphing the images of the students and circulating them widely on any social networking sites, spreading false propaganda against the student on the social networking sites, etc
will NOT be tolerated in any manner whatsoever and STRICT ACTION will be taken by the Anti- Ragging Cell and the College against the student indulging in or attempting to commit or found having committed any of such activities. The above forms of Ragging are
inclusive in nature.
Ragging in all its forms is prohibited in the College Campus, including all the premises (academic, residential, sports, canteen, restrooms, computer labs, library, staff room, college office), within the Campus or outside the Campus.
COMPLAINT MECHANISIM
Complaints against any student indulging in ragging should be immediately brought to the notice of the members Anti – Ragging Cell.
The Complaint can be made either in writing or telephonically or in digital form – email or whatsapp, link as provided on the college website
The Complaints can be made by the victim student or any friend of the victim student or the Class Representative of the Student or by any
person having knowledge of the incident.

The Complaints made to be the Anti- Ragging Cell will be Confidential and not made public in any manner.
ACTION TAKEN AGAISNT THE PERSON FOUND GUILTY
Upon investigation and complete impartial scrutiny of the matter by the Anti-Ragging Cell, the student/s found guilty will be expelled or suspended or dismissed from the College and F.I.R. will be lodged with the Police against them under the respective laws.
However, if upon investigation it is found that the alleged complaint is frivolous, false and complete baseless, then action will be taken against the respective student.
